Terms & Conditions
Who We Serve
Pneuma Search Counseling offers professional counseling for young adults and adults living in Pennsylvania. Because of licensing laws, the client must be:
-
Be a resident of Pennsylvania, and
-
Be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of your session (even for virtual/online sessions).
Our services are especially geared toward people who do not have insurance or are choosing not to use insurance. We don’t bill insurance companies directly; instead, we keep our fee structure as clear and accessible as we can.
Our Services
Pneuma provides counseling to support you through grief, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, and life transitions in a judgment-free, supportive space.
Most sessions are held virtually through a secure video platform. If any in-person options are available in the future, Pneuma Search will clearly communicate that to the client.

By using this website, you acknowledge that:
-
You are responsible for your own mental health decisions
-
You understand the distinction between educational content and psychotherapy

Sessions, Cancellations, and No-Shows Disclaimer
Your session time is reserved just for the client. Our standard session policies include:
-
Session length: Sessions will be between 45–60 minutes.
-
Cancellation window: If the client needs to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice.
Late cancellations / no-shows: If the client cancels with less than 24 hours notice or misses an appointment, the client will be charged 50% of the standard session fee.
Fees and Payment Disclaimer
Pneuma Searching Counseling Services is an out-of-network (OON) private-pay practice and does not directly bill insurance companies. For clients, this means:
-
The client will be able to see the current session rate and any available sliding-scale or reduced-fee options.
-
Payment is typically due at or before the time of the session via credit, debit card, or HSA card].
-
We do not bill insurance, and we cannot guarantee any reimbursement from the client’s insurance company or health plan.
Telehealth Disclaimer
Telehealth services are provided using secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms once a client has been formally accepted for treatment.
While reasonable steps are taken to protect confidentiality:
-
Telehealth services involve inherent technological risks
-
Interruptions, unauthorized access, or technical failures may occur
-
Clients are responsible for ensuring privacy on their end of the session
A separate Telehealth Informed Consent is reviewed and signed prior to initiating telehealth services.
Website Privacy & Contact Form Disclaimer
Information submitted through this website (such as contact forms or email inquiries):
-
Is used solely for administrative and communication purposes
-
May not be fully HIPAA-secure until you become a client
-
Should not include sensitive clinical or personal health information
Submitting a contact form does not create a therapist–client relationship.
A full Notice of Privacy Practices, consistent with HIPAA and Pennsylvania law, is provided during the intake process or upon request.
Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
Pneuma Search Counseling Service does not provide emergency or crisis services through this website.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, emotional crisis, or are at risk of harming yourself or others, please:

Privacy and Confidentiality Disclaimer
We take client privacy seriously. What clients share in counseling is confidential and is not shared with others without the client’s written permission, except in specific situations where we are required or allowed to share information by law, such as:
-
If there is serious and immediate risk of harm to the client or someone else
-
If we suspect abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult
-
If a court order, subpoena, or law requires us to release information
-
For professional consultation (where identifying details are limited as much as possible)
Communication Between Sessions
You may contact Pneuma Searching between sessions for administrative matters such as scheduling, cancellations, or billing questions using:
-
Phone: 410-914-7309
Standard email and text are not fully secure, so we encourage the client not to share highly sensitive personal information using those methods.
We do our best to respond within 1–2 business days, but we do not provide 24/7 monitoring. These communication channels are not for emergency or crisis situations.
Ending Counseling and Referrals
The client is free to pause or end counseling at any time. It’s usually helpful to talk with the client’s counselor about ending so you can review progress, plan for next steps, and discuss any additional support needed.
There may also be times when we may recommend a different level or type of care (for example, more intensive treatment or specialized services). If that happens, Pneuma Searching will talk with the client about options and, when possible, help with referrals.
A Note About This Page and Your Forms
This page does not replace the detailed informed consent, financial agreement, and privacy forms you’ll review and sign before starting therapy. Those documents contain the full terms that guide our work together and will control if there is any difference between them and what you see on this website.
